The Blackpool Carnival Community Interest Company have organised for Father Christmas to
travel around the streets of South Shore on his sleigh, with plenty of coloured lights and a
mixture of Christmas Carols and Christmas pop favourites being played , between the hours
of 4pm and 7pm everyday from Friday 14th December to Saturday 22nd December (inclusive).

A collection will be made by his elves, if you could be as generous as possible, to
be shared equally between The Blue Skies Hospital
Fund, raising funds to enhance patient care at hospitals in
Blackpool, Wyre and Fylde and also The Blackpool Carnival CIC,

raising funds to ensure stability of this community-led annual event.

The necessary permit and Licence has been granted by the council for the
good of the community and the children.
Come and join in the fun, help us to celebrate together as one community, the start of the
Christmas period!

Carnival Events

THE MOTOR FESTIVAL 2023

Taking place on both the weekends of the 1st and 2nd July 2023 and also the following weekend of the 8th and 9th July 2023

Saturday 1st July

There will be a static display of thousands of motorbikes, scooters, 3 wheeler vehicles and Tuk Tuks from the South Pier area to the North Pier area and all in between along the walking part of the Blackpool Promenade.

Sunday 2nd July

There will be a Roadway Procession taking place from the Solaris Centre along the Roadway Promenade and up until and dispersing at the Gynn Square Roundabout, after which it will disperse and parts will visit all the different areas and wards throughout the Town.

Saturday 8th July

There will be a static display of hundreds of TVR’s and Jaguars, both cars having been manufactured originally in Blackpool, from the South Pier area to the North Pier area and all in between along the walking part of the Blackpool Promenade.

Sunday 9th July

There will be a static display of hundreds of very expensive classic motor vehicles, such as Lamborghinis, Ferraris, Morgans, Aston martins etc etc from the South Pier area to the North Pier area and all in between along the walking part of the Blackpool Promenade.

There will be a Roadway Procession consisting of TVR’s and Jaguars taking place from the Solaris Centre along the Roadway Promenade and up until and dispersing at the Gynn Square Roundabout, after which it will disperse and parts will visit all the different areas and wards throughout the Town.

This Procession will proceed the main traditional Procession following on thereafter.

 

Showzam is a series of street performances throughout the Town Centre, around each corner there will be a different act, whether circus, magic, music or theatre related.

The first Showzam Festival took place in 2007 and the last in 2017 but it is being resurrected during the Blackpool Carnival 2023 throughout the week beginning Monday 3 rd July and ending on Friday the 7th July.

Showzam is a captivating Festival with something for everybody showcasing the local Blackpool talent, skills and the magic of the theatre. It will be 5 days of magic and mystery, that must not be missed.

Many of the local Dance venues and Troupes are working together to promote, not only their own facility but the Dance Event as a whole. Whatever type of Dance you prefer, it will be here somewhere in Blackpool during the first 9 days of July 2023.

This is what the Blackpool Carnival stands and is established for, different businesses, even though in a sense, they are competitors, all working together for the betterment of all yet putting on an event that will attract everybody, regardless of their particular dancing taste.

Many of the local Music venues are working together to promote, not only their own facility but the Music Event as a whole. Whatever genre of music you prefer, it will be here somewhere in Blackpool during the first 9 days of July 2023.

This is what the Blackpool Carnival stands and is established for, different businesses, even though in a sense, they are competitors, all working together for the betterment of all yet putting on an event that will attract everybody, regardless of their particular musical taste.

Many of the local Restaurants, Bistros, Cafes and Pubs are working together to promote, not only their own facility but the Food and Drink Festival as a whole. Whatever type of food or drink you prefer, it will be here somewhere in Blackpool during the first 9 days of July 2023.

This is what the Blackpool Carnival stands and is established for, different businesses, even though in a sense, they are competitors, all working together for the betterment of all yet putting on an event that will attract everybody, regardless of their particular food and drink taste.

 

Most of the local Asian Groups are working together to create a “festival of colour”, “festival of summer” and “festival of love”, also signifying the importance of good over evil and it’s a time to end disputes with others.

This Event fits in with the ethos of the Blackpool Carnival, bringing the whole of the local community working together as one, sharing and caring for each other for the betterment of all. It will be an extravaganza of colour, music, dance and entertainment, not to be missed.
